This is not a substitute for reading the final details and Day 3 information which are available online.

The Day 3 organising team would like to make you aware of the following:

  • Remember certificates for 1st-3rd place on M/W 10-16 A/B are available to collect from the Information Tent.
  • The theme for the string course on Day 3 is “Fun with Flags” and the control pictures feature the flags of the 10 guest nations that have provided the most competitors. Displayed at the top of the String course area is the flag of Scotland, the Saltire, and it marks the location of a historical event that took place on 27th August 1715. On this date, at this spot, the Earl of Mar raised the Standard to start the campaign to restore James Edward Stewart to the thrones of Scotland and England, known as the Jacobite Rising. Why not visit Braemar Castle less than a mile north of the event to find out more.
  • Many thanks to the farmer, and the weather gods that enabled him to cut the hay in the arena field in good time. The farmer also has a farm shop and café at Balnault Farm (AB35 5TP) at Crathie, (near Balmoral Castle) so please pop in as you pass.
  • We have provided bins for traders but do not have capacity for all rubbish – if possible please could you take your own rubbish away with you.
  • We have located a few additional coasters but insufficient for everyone. If you are visiting from overseas and still want a coaster please visit Information. If you are a UK resident we will continue to take names, clubs and contact details and will ensure we get coasters to you after the event. They may be delivered via clubs.
  • If any competitors have pre-ordered and paid, or THINK they may have pre-ordered please collect on Day 3. If collections are not made it will be assumed that items are no longer required. We’d like to sell these items to disappointed customers as our stock is sold out. Refunds can be made to those unable to attend due to injury, illness etc. please contact us if this is the case.
  • Finally please remember that fellow competitors and volunteers are all here for a holiday week and please show them respect when competing.
