It was a cooler day today than the boiling hot Rest Day, which probably came as a relief to our elites! Balfour was the first of two world ranking event days.

Day Four Organiser Dave Coustick said:

“All went well with key activities running to schedule. There was only a small delay to the Flower Ceremony.

“All runners returned by 1630 with only a very few of these finishing after 1600.
“There was a handful of minor incidents for First Aid, mostly cuts and minor twisted ankles.”
There were plenty of comments about how enjoyable the course was – well done planners!

We’d like to thank Philip McConnach, the farmer responsible for the arena and parking area, and Alan McConnach who kindly let us use his field for car park B. We really appreciate being able to ‘invade’ fields for the 6 Days – the event couldn’t happen otherwise.

That was Day Four! How fast this week has gone – just one more day and we’ll be done for another 2 years! Here’s to a wonderful (and challenging) Day Five.

Make sure you read the Day 5 information which is available online.
