Museums / Galleries
- Groam House Museum, Rosemarkie – Centre for Pictish and Celtic art, featuring carved Pictish stones from the area.
- Cromarty Courthouse Museum – Exhibitions about the historic town of Cromarty, including audio enactment of courtroom scenes. Free admission.
- Hugh Miller’s Birthplace Cottage & Museum – Museum presenting the life and work of Hugh Miller, 19th-century Highland geologist and writer, beside the thatched fisherman’s cottage where he was born and spent his childhood.
Nature
- Dolphin and Seal Centre, North Kessock – Watch and learn about dolphins and seals - great views, information, talks and activities, gift shop. Free admission.
- Dolphin Watching at Chanonry Point – Situated E of Fortrose, off the A832, this is the best place to watch dolphins in the Moray Firth.
History
- Fortrose Cathedral – Beautiful red sandstone cathedral, the seat of the bishops of Ross, with ruins dating from the 14th Century.
