Mountain Bike Orienteering - 4 August
This is part of the Highland O-Fest, and will be a 50 minute Score event. The course planned will have plenty of route choice options, which will cater for all ranges of physical fitness. It is a really pleasant, relatively flat forest to ride through.

We hope that everyone that took part enjoyed the experience . It was really wonderful that so many took the time to have a go – especially so many competitors who were having their first experience of TrailO.
Unfortunately we found that one of the kites at station 3 had blown out of true and was leaning – this may have lead to some incorrect answers. In view of the nature of the competition we have decided to let the results stand – you can make your own adjustment if you feel affected.
Highland O-Fest / Forres Sprint - Daily Digest
The traditional rest day has now grown arms and legs and this year we made a special effort to do our best to attract spectators to Darnaway to watch the WOC Middle race. Planner Graeme Ackland repeatedly voiced concerns that athletes might be running into an empty arena. Following the morning Sprint around Forres many competitors made their way through the golden gates and a mystery tour through the woods before emerging onto a ribbon of steel that arrowed its way through a waving field of barley.

We should like to apologise to competitors for the problem caused by the gate being closed for a short time near control 130. Upon reflection, we have decided that no adjustments should be made and the courses should stand as they are.

We've had reports of significant roadworks in Nairn that will affect travel during the Darnaway days (4th, 5th & 6th August, i.e O-Fest, Day 3 & Day 4). Please allow extra time for your journey if you are travelling through Nairn on your way to Darnaway.
