Media Resources

The Scottish Six Days is a week-long orienteering event in Scotland that has been held every other year since 1977. In 2025 we will be returning to Royal Deeside from 27th July to 1st August. The event attracts 3000 orienteers and their families.

Business Plan

The Scottish 6 Days have been held every two years for the last 40 years. Originally run solely by volunteers, the events now employ a paid official and utilise outside event service companies to assist with the organisation.

During Strathearn 2019 Scottish 6 Days the organising committee introduced Spot prizes and 114 lucky competitors were winners. We want to thank the companies that donated spot prizes.

Course Details

For the main forest days, a full range of age classes is available, from M/W10 to M/W85. White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Light Green, and Green courses are also available for less experienced or casual orienteers.
